Scope of work:
Refinishing of oak exterior garden doors with carved laurel wreath frame, inlay of Dutchmen to replace missing sections of weather-damaged frame.

Museum building ca. 1905, listed in National Register of Historic Places.

Before-The gray color of the wood indicates bacterial weathering. A black color is more serious, often accompanied by rot.

Natural beauty of wood restored

 
    The bacterial discoloration was eliminated by repeated bleaching with a special bleaching agent, to attain the original color of the wood. The patina was not disturbed by sanding.
